It can be audio/video, accidental/on purpose, intro/been there for ages.
2. Tag around with others--potential characters or characters who are already in the game--to see how well they fit.
3. Get a better idea of how well they'd work out at Syndemic, and app or not app accordingly!

Test Drive

The night had fallen a little over an hour ago, drifting over the broke architecture that had once been a thriving city. Skyline illuminated faintly at the horizon with a warring red, as if the rivers, lakes and land had all been caught in a fire that burned up toward the sky. The reflection of slivers of red sparkling in the raindrops that gather upon every surface, crawling through the streets in tendrils and tangling with the growing shadows. The sky dotted with flecks of white, stars twinkling through the black cloth draped from roof too roof-- appearing all at once so close and yet so far away. The evening air itself filled with an icy chill, the sort that managed to crawl through your skin and down to the bone; urging any who cared for their own safety to stay inside, the heavy downpour of droplets that stained everything in shadows of color creating a thunderous sound against every surface. Dribbling along the windows, walkways, roads and beasts, washing away the dirt and noise. Silencing the city under it's power.

Bags and items distributed to those who have just arrived, a small bag of perishables and a weapon chosen at random. Normally shoved into the world seconds later, the storm has trapped all that can fit inside, huddling for shelter and hoping the building itself does not get washed away.

Comment with your characters name and series in the subject, your character could be reacting to hearing they are unreal, to the storm, or anything else that unsettles them about their new life. Perhaps they are curious about the organization itself? The threads in the Test Drive are applicable on applications and also the CR may be carried over into the game, so long as it is from the same application period.
